Gangneung City in Gangwon Province and the Korea Table Tennis Association have successfully secured the bid to host the 2026 World Masters Table Tennis Championships, scheduled to take place in May 2026.
 Gangneung City and the Korea Table Tennis Association announced on the 26th that they were officially selected as the host of the 2026 World Masters Table Tennis Championships, following a close competition with Elche, Alicante, Spain, at the ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation) Executive Board meeting held at BEXCO Convention Hall in Busan.
